Limited Edition socks, is that really a thing?    ... well, I guess it is now.   We struggled with a name, tried a contest, but nothing quite described these, but every one of our product testers came back with the exact same response. "These are really really nice"

Gift Boxed and ready to go.

200 pair of Large and 200 pair of medium available. These are a very special project we have spent the better part of a year on. It has been difficult keeping a lid on this, but we thought it would be a nice holiday treat.

We asked our friends at Qiviuk.com to make the finest bison yarn they have ever made, and they delivered. The bison fiber was dehaired in Peru to their extremely exacting standards.. less than 0.03% guard hair, then sent to Italy to be blended with super 200s ultra-soft merino wool and spun into a worsted yarn.

Then we asked our friends at Fox River Mills to make the finest sock they have ever made. We went through a lot of design work, and designed something we can confidently say is the best sock we have ever made.

This is the result. An extraordinarily soft and comfortable sock that is exceedingly durable, excessively wicking, and feels like slipping your foot into a cloud.

The specially designed 4 directional stretch panel on the back of the sock helps it stay in place perfectly (no sock slouch here) it also looks pretty cool.

Sock Sizing

Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.

Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.

Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.

Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material. If you wear a wide shoe size (E+), consider sizing up.

Material Composition

Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

Really like them

I love these socks. They wick incredibly. So soft feeling. And lightweight which is perfect for turkey hunting. Huge fan of this company

The name nails it

Bought two pairs of these and yesterday, while wearing them, just kept thinking over and over again how comfortable and perfect these were on a beautiful spring day. I'd thought nothing could top my favorite bison/silk ones, but you know? These are just really really really nice.

Lives up to their name!

Well, I'm not hiking the Yukon, but these socks are definitely keeping my feet warm and cozy this winter--both in the house and out and about. Planning to wear them to Opening Day next week.

Really Really Nice Bison Socks

I purchased a few pair of these for Christmas gifts. For my brother in law and a friend. Yes they are expensive but they are worth it. My brother in law isn't easily impressed! He has just recently tried the RRNBS and can't say enough about them! This is highly unusual for him! My sister called and said we have to get more of these socks, he loves them. She didn't know about The Buffalo Wool Co. He has been asking on the daily basis if we had ordered them yet. He hasn't gave the pair he has up for washing yet. We're going on 2 weeks now! I just placed a order for 2 more pair. These are truly Really Really Nice Bison Socks and my brother in law is worth it! Thank you

Really are Really, Really Nice!

Love the feel of these socks! They stay put without “biting in”, so soft to the touch, yet nice and warm without the weight. Perfect comfort for any season!

Dont buy these socks....

...because I want there to be more left for me to buy for myself!!!
Wool socks are my favorite. I have over 40 years of experience wearing wool socks in some of the most grueling environments and circumstances that exist. Quality wool socks that can stand up to regular use is surprisingly difficult to find. Ordering these socks, I was expecting a little-better-than-average sock and prepared to chock up much of the item description to "fluffing". What arrived was a really really nice bison sock!
I bought several styles of socks here for comparison and by far am enjoying the really really nice model over the others. At the risk of there not being more pairs available for me: the RRNBS is phenominally soft and comfortable. The fit is perfect (if they dont shrink-havent washed them yet). There is a difference with the wool content percentages between the website and the label that comes with the RRNB sock: 50/50 (web) vs. 45/45/8/2 (label/wrap). Even though I bought these socks with the expectation of 50%bison down/50% extrafine merino wool (per website), the nylon/spandex (8/2) in the sock (per wraplabel) gives nice leg support for an invigorating feeling of luxury in a wool sock. I cant get over how truly soft and snuggly they are for a thinner sock. In my opinion, the item description is pretty dang accurate! They ARE really really nice bison socks! I will be sad when these I have are too worn out and I can't replace them with similar model/quality.
Hopefully there will be more RRNBS left when I next get paid. Yes they are expensive, but I don't think one pair will suffice. I Gotta have more!

p.s. quick shipping with a kind, hand-written note included
