Go farther, stay comfortable. Designed for long days hiking in extreme terrain and conditions. Easy on the foot, but tough on cold, sweat, heat, moisture. Slightly lighter weight than our Trekker socks, but still "Seriously warm-Surprisingly soft", our newest extreme sock, that will keep your feet warm and dry all winter long. Ultra-soft bison fiber that has been properly processed, no prickly itch from these socks. Thicker and more cushioning than our Pro-gear socks.
This sock has a terry loop padded footbed, and lighter ribbed construction all the way up the calf with just enough spandex to hold it above your 10" boot top...but not enough to cut down circulation. Nylon over-plaited in the toe and way up past the heel for long smooth wear.
Superior breathability, temperature regulation, and natural odor resistance!!
Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.
Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.
Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.
Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material.

After waiting nearly 5 months for these socks I found the mediums I got for my wife can only be worn for hiking by me. The large ones I got for me I hope to be able to sleep in. Possibly as a sleeping bag. Kind of a bummer since I purchased these as a special treat for us.
That said, the socks appear to be of superior quality and the mediums recently provided me with a very nice hike. My wife of course had to go barefoot (just kidding).
Not exactly the kind of surprise we were hoping for.
They are amazing
I really like these socks. Very comfortable.
I love these socks- They are the only ones that can keep might feet warm in the Buffalo Winters
As always another great product
Just got my first (actually just ordered some more) pair of socks from The Buffalo Wool Co, based on a recommendation by Kevin Estela of Fieldcraft Survival. The socks seem incredibly well made, and they are comfortable, warm, and not itchy right from the jump. Looking forward to using these for colder hunts and outdoor activities.
Every type of sock this company makes is special in their own way love all of them.
Warm and comfortable socks but took several months to receive them, got an email asking what they could do " to make things right" which i responded to and never received a reply?
