Seriously warm. Surprisingly soft.
Our Pro-Gear Technical Bison and Silk Boot Socks have all the special features to fit your boot needs. We created a sock from Bison down and silk that will keep your feet warm and dry all winter long.
This sock has a terry loop cushioned footbed, vented and structured instep for a smooth fit, terry loop 4" x 4" shin pad and just enough spandex to hold it above your 12" boot top...but not enough to cut down circulation. Nylon over-plaited in the toe and way up past the heel for long smooth wear. Seriously warm. Surprisingly soft. The perfect sock for your ski boots, heavy winter snow boots or city rain boots. You will feel the difference that bison can make in your socks.

Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.
Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.
Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.
Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material. If you wear a wide shoe size (E+), consider sizing up.

Once you are ready to clean your gear, follow a few simple steps to care for your favorite socks, beanie, and gloves. How to Care for your favorite bison fiber gear
Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.
The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

I am recently hired by CAL FIRE and was getting ready for the season, so I called and ask for which sock I should order from Buffalo Wool Co. I wanted a pair of socks that is fire resistant and can provide all day comfort. As a result, I was recommended the pro gear technical bison/silk socks. I did a few hikes with them and they are very comfortable. The only reason that I give 4 stars because the fibers would keep falling off the socks and pile up in the boots. Nonetheless, this is a very special pair of socks.
I'm an old guy. I'm 75. I live in the Rockies at 5300' elevation. Winters are long. I wear nothing but Buffalo Wool socks. Not only are they warm and comfortable, but durable too! Greatest socks ever!
Comfort and durability are key factors in these socks. They feel good and keep your feet warm.
The buffalo wool socks are warmer than any other material I have used. I wear them in my boots when I will be standing around in freezing or wet conditions, as indoors slippers and when sleeping.
The buffalo wool with silk is softer than buffalo wool with sheep's wool.
I returned all three pairs of socks that I had purchased, because of the misrepresentation of fiber content. You say 50% bison wool
And 50% silk. But it wasn't 50/50 it was like 38 bison 24% silk and then a bunch of man-made fibers. If I wanted polyester nylon and spandex socks I'd go to Walmart
This is my fourth pair of Buffalo Wool socks. These socks are everything that you want in a great pair of socks. Always had a hard time keeping my feet warm and comfortable in winter 🥶 not anymore. I would highly recommend these socks
Exceptionaly soft and strong. My favorite socks!
