From the undercoat of the American plains bison, with just enough of the coarse fiber to give it some spikiness.  Ultra light, and naturally water repellant, bison down holds bubbles better than almost any natural fiber.  The down ranges from 16-21 microns, which allow you to dub down to a size 26 and beyond, perfect for dries and nymphs.

Buffalo nymphs

Using buffalo fur is tricky as it is extremely tough and a little wrapped goes a long way..... It seems best mixed with other dubbing to give it sparkle. I must give just a few comments for now as I am just into tying with it. I will try mixing it with wool from sheep to give my Utah Killer Bugs more buggy-ness.
I will post other review as I keep experimenting........Mike

Great Dubbing

This was a great find. The dubbing is dense and came in great colors.
