Seriously warm - Surprisingly soft

We created a sock from Bison down and silk that will keep your feet warm and dry all winter long. When summer comes, don't worry, they will also provide dry cool comfort in hot environments, with superior moisture regain properties, and exceptional air-flow almost double the wicking of fine wool. (keeps your feet dry and sweat free)

Exceptionally durable for outdoor activities, long distance running, hold up strong for eighteen holes, or just knocking around town in your sneakers. These socks are incredibly easy to care for and due to their antimicrobial properties, feel free to wear them a few times before washing. But when they do need to be cleaned, simply machine wash on the warm or cool setting, then toss them in the dryer.

We very carefully remove all the guard hair, and scour the fiber so it is soft, cuddly and very very warm.  No prickly itch from these socks.

The shorter brother to the Pro-Gear Technical Boot Sock. A terry loop cushioned footbed, vented and structured instep for smooth fit...but crew height. A nylon over-plaited toe and heel for added strength where you need and want it most.  8" rise (on average)

We love our bison and you will too! Carefully collected and removed, our bison wool has a feel and functionality like no other. Be one of the growing number of people who know the difference bison wool can make. https://thebuffalowoolco.com/ #Buffalowoolco #buffalo #buffalowool #bison #bisonwool #woolblend #socks #boots #hiking #outdoors #fieldandstream #outdoors #clothes

Sock Sizing

Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.

Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.

Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.

Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material. If you wear a wide shoe size (E+), consider sizing up.

Material Composition

Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

Bison Socks will be my ‘Go To’ socks 👍🏻 No More Buying from Stores

I still have my socks on as the weather changed from being really warm to a very brisk ‘cold’. The Sun is out, but the weather is a brisk cold today... I’ve come to the recognition that my Bison Wool socks to be an equivalent to a good pair of hiking boots... 😃

Colder weather

Socks are great at transitioning from indoors to the cold weather outside; still comfy 👍🏻🙂

Great socks!

Favorite pair of socks. Soft, warm, comfortable and USA made. I plan on ordering more of these.

Better than Wool!

I've used wool exclusively when hunting in Alaska, but these bison socks exceed wool in comfort and warmth!

Excellent socks

Always had a problem keeping my feet warm. Spent a lot of money on supposedly warm socks 🧦 I was really surprised how well my Bison wool socks kept my feet warm. Splitting wood in 20 degree weather in ankle deep snow my feet were warm as toast! I will definitely be buying some more socks to add to my winter collection.

Sock it to me

Best socks ever.Soft, wicking, strong and comfortable. Also own boot socks and compression socks. All are top shelf items.

Excellent socks

These are absolutely the most expensive socks I've ever purchased.
However, they are absolutely the best socks I've ever worn.
I bought a new pair of boots, JK boots.
They are super tough, stiff, hard af to break in boots lol.
Also, they are very slightly big on me. The uppers should of been tailored in a bit more. They do fit so whatever.
I bought these med weight socks, both to try and fill the boots a tiny bit more, and also to try them out. After all the boots are Bison leather, so why not right?
Best decision I've ever made.
These literally made an amazing difference and made these boots fit better. They took all the parts of the boots that were kinda noticeably uncomfortable, and completely eliminated ever hot spot.
The boots are still breaking in, but these socks made it both possible (to wear all day comfortably) and surprisingly comfortable to break these boots in.
I gain nothing from a positive review here. I rarely even review items. These are very much worth the price.
They are not to thick, nor to warm (they have warmer and thicker). The leather is like skin and very breathable. These socks complement the features of a good boot in all aspects.
Very good quality product built by people who def get it.
Thank you.
I will def be back for more in different styles.
