Seriously warm. Surprisingly soft.

Our Pro-Gear Technical Bison and Silk Boot Socks have all the special features to fit your boot needs. We created a sock from Bison down and silk that will keep your feet warm and dry all winter long.

This sock has a terry loop cushioned footbed, vented and structured instep for a smooth fit, terry loop 4" x 4" shin pad and just enough spandex to hold it above your 12" boot top...but not enough to cut down circulation. Nylon over-plaited in the toe and way up past the heel for long smooth wear. Seriously warm. Surprisingly soft. The perfect sock for your ski boots, heavy winter snow boots or city rain boots. You will feel the difference that bison can make in your socks.

  • Mid-calf boot style / 12" from heel
  • 4" x 4" Shin pad on the front of the leg cushions lace-up boots or ski boots
  • Reinforced toe
  • Extended padded and reinforced heel zone
  • Smooth flat toe seam
  • Vented side panel
  • Padded on the bottom of the foot
  • Contoured rib top & stretched ribbing
  • Arch and ankle compression support
  • Bison logo on the toe

Sock Sizing

Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.

Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.

Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.

Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material. If you wear a wide shoe size (E+), consider sizing up.

Material Composition

Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

Perfect socks for work boots!!!

R

good socks

Got my first 3 pair of crews about 2 weeks ago. My toes are now warm in my slippers. Just put on a pair that was washed and like them better. They feel more snug so I ordered 3 pair of boot socks. Told my brother in law about them and he just got his and likes them and is looking forward to getting boot socks.

Two thumbs up!

We bought these for our daughter who is in law enforcement and directs school traffic in the mornings. She has told us her feet no longer get cold.
Thanks!!!!

Best socks ever

I got these for my husband for Christmas! We’ve bought quite a few over the years cause they are the best!! Great quality, perfect fit. Long lasting!

Warmest socks ever

My sister gave me a pair for Christmas, and they're now essential for snowshoeing--and even dog walking when it's minus 7. I have since given them as presents for outdoorsy friends.

Warm and comfortable

I don't like wearing heavy boots. I wear thin Altra light hikers, which don't provide much in the way of insulation. Almost none. But, with the Pro Gear Boot socks my feet stay warm in temperatures in the 30's. I haven't had an opportunity to experience anything lower so far here in central VA. It's been a mild winter to date. Stay tuned. The socks are very comfortable, too. A nice feel against my skin.

Super soft and comfortable

Very impressed with the socks. They are soft and fit very snugly without being tight. True to size. Will be ordering more. Bison are such great animals

Buffalo socks

I gave three pairs of socks to my son for Christmas and he loves them. He moved from Long Island NY to Boulder Colorado and says his feet are warm and dry. Thanks for a excellent product!
