Care Instructions

Dry clean only.

Once you are ready to clean your gear, follow a few simple steps to care for your favorite socks, beanie, and gloves.

How to Care for your favorite bison fiber gear

Material Composition

Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do. All composition percentages are based on material weight. Synthetic reinforcement and elastic threads often weigh more than natural fibers.

great blanket, love that it has buffalo wool

I already own several Fairbault wool blankets so I knew the quality would be there. Just couldn't resist owning one from The Buffalo Wool Co. with buffalo wool fibers. It's also a bit larger than the standard throws I have already which is a huge bonus.

The dry clean only warning had me worried at purchase, but the actual label on the blanket says it can be hand washed which is what I'll do.

I'm a bit sensitive to scratchy fabrics and don't find buffalo wool or merino wool totally soft and scratch free, but they are mostly tolerable to me and worth it for the other benefits.

Overall I love this item and expect to get many years of hard use out of it.

Lastly, I've only recently found the Buffalo Wool Co., but they seem like great people that pour everything into their company and it shows. Highly recommended!
