"Don't underestimate the value of a good quality natural fiber insole, they can add another ten degrees of comfort to your boots, and quality insoles may allow you to wear a lighter boot in colder weather. This is particularly nice for hunters, who may start the day sitting on a stand and then end up doing a lot of walking. Or if you work on cold concrete all day, you may be able to wear those comfortable work boots year round."

Survival Expert, Leon Pantenburg "Survival Common Sense"

We listened to your feedback, and have improved what was already a truly amazing insole. The new ones are a slightly thinner version 4 mm, with a denser felt, made with a finer virgin American merino wool.  These insoles are particularly nice for putting a warm insulation barrier between your feet and the frozen ground. Wicks moisture like only bison fiber can, and stays springy and resilient much longer than any poly-based foam.  Keeps you comfortable and your feet dry all year long.

Natural fibers wick away moisture, absorb foot odor and keep your feet dry while adding additional comfort to your step. You can hand wash them in warm water with a wool-friendly soap and air dry to keep them clean and odorless.

  • one set is two insoles-  one pair, the two packs are two pair of insoles
  • Large up to size 9.5 to 11.5 (12" long) -4 mm thick or 8 mm thick
  • XL up to a size 12-14 (13" long) -4 mm thick or 8 mm thick
  • Felt sheet 12" wide x 16" long - 4 mm thick or 8 mm thick

Trim them down to size. Have larger than a 13?   We have a sheet of felt that measures 12" wide x 16" long to custom fit your insoles to fit your boot style.

Product review here is just one of the rave reviews from a happy happy guy:

This was my second year using The Buffalo Wool Co. silk-blend socks for a 2 week long moose hunting trip in Western Alaska. This year I also added the American Bison Insoles in my Muck boots. The use of insoles with the socks was incredible. Morning temperatures were in the teens and warming up to the upper forties during the day and then dropping quickly as the sun went down. My feet stayed warm and dry even when the day warmed up and your feet sweat in non-breathing hunting boots. Other hunters in my group had footwear issues with wet feet that were always cold in the evening. I believe in your products above others in the harsh Alaskan environment. We ended our hunt with 6 nice moose and very happy feet. Hope to see you again at our State Fair, a very satisfied ALASKAN hunter.

Insoles are Incredible

I just returned from a Nunavik Island AK muskox hunt and used these insoles in my Beta "Bunny Boots". My feet are ALWAYS cold, but these insoles worked far better than other others that I've tried! Will definitely be ordering more to use in my Xtratuf boots among many others!

These work great

I like Ron’s socks a lot and have tried most of them. I guess since I’m a “frequent flier”, I got a pair of insoles tucked in with a pair. Tried them in my hiking boots and even my muck boots. Problem was they made the fit of the shoe change. Way too tight.
I had a light bulb moment. My favorite pair of 5 dollar sandals! A piece of double sided tape. And the insoles.
These are great.

I always wear inserts

I always wear inserts and tried these and love them. Very soft and fit in all my slippers and shoes comfortably. I've only had them a short times so I don't know about how long they will last or how they are with temperature. I will have to return.

Bought them for my husband 2 years ago and just bought 2 more pairs. They were not worn out, he just mentioned that his feet never got cold in the boots he had them in. I figured he should have warm feet no matter what shoes he wore.

Bison fiber insoles

Bought these bison fiber insoles for a pair of winter boots that were a little too big on my feet. These insoles filled up the space and keep my feet warmer as well. I am happy with my purchase &will recommend to others.

warm and cozy!

I love these inner soles. I was looking for a way to insulate my feet on cold winter runs without altering the shape of my footbed. These are perfect. I custom cut them to fit my shoes and now my feet stay so much warmer.

Perfect!

I thought I was going to have to retire my suede clogs. Instead, put these insoles in and I think I'm going to be able to keep these clogs for years! Thank you. They're soft, comfortable, and easy to install.

toasty feet

Love these inserts. They add an extra layer of insulation to my boots and keep my feet dry and toasty when it’s cold.
In addition to having 2 pair for myself I also purchased a pair for both of my sons.
Get you some. . . for dry toasty feet like mine!

Excellent!

I purchased 3 sets of socks and a set of insoles.
Father in law is a roadside mechanic, and we live in michigan. Dudes feet are always cold and wet.
Well they were!
He loves the sock/insole combination, keeps his feet dry and warm all day long. Every time I've seen him he thanks me for his gift!
Great products from great people, you cannot go wrong with anything from Ron and Buffalo wool company!

cozy wozy feet

The cold gets to my feet so quickly, and these insoles keep my feet, as we say in our family, "cozy-wozy." I also appreciate the extra bit of cushioning they provide in my barefoot-style shoes.

rocking the shoe Bison shoe liners

To make these work in my Red Wing's I have basted some card stock onto them under the insoles. (Before that they were bunching up under the arch of my foot.) They work in the newer stile of LL Bean boots (with the removable insole) without needing that. Makes a huge difference both softening the strike of my feet and winterizing these boots.

Great product

I've only had a few colder days so far this season (front range Montana cattle ranch for reference) that I've needed to use the boots I bought these insoles for, but I can say they seem like a great product. Very comfortable, much more comfortable than the provided rubber insoles. They feel like they will wick away moisture really well, as well as insulate the bottom of my boot! Very happy and will be ordering more for my other boots. Cheers.

New Life!

Yes Ron,
Those insoles work great in my old shoes-new life! The night socks and trek boot socks were gifts. You’ll hear from me within 30 days. More of your Trekking boot socks as gifts for family and me! La Niña is just around the corner for us.
May need to buy more of your bison robes.
Best of Season for you and Theresa
