Machine wash or handwash, lay flat to dry

Once you are ready to clean your gear, follow a few simple steps to care for your favorite socks, beanie, and gloves.

How to Care for your favorite bison fiber gear

Material Composition

Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

Always darned questions.

Still not sure how your product is sourced but the buffalo and and the original Americans were closest to the land before we started poisoning everything
to make it better. Did we really improve the land or just rearrange it to make dollars?

Can't Let Go of Excellent Quality.

I already have 2 BWC beanies so I initially thought I would gift this beanie to one of my inlaws. I made the mistake of trying the beanie on. I instantly realized that I love this beanie much more than I do my inlaw, so I'm keeping it for myself. Please don't get me wrong- I care for my inlaw so much that I might let him use my new beanie from time to time at my discretion when circumstances require.

Designed from the Ground Up

The Dearnley Family has been running S & D Spinning since the 1800s. This is one of the last large scale wool mills left in the U.S. and they are absolutely crucial to us keeping our production here in the U.S.
