Spencer is a renown art photographer with works on display in some of the finest museums and collections in the world. The book was published in 2017, so the pictures ... many of which are filtered or screened ... start around 2005 and run for about 10 years.
You could take apart all 280 pages and cover your walls, they are so graphic - natural wonders; man made disasters, people at their most revealing. All of the pictorial pages are frameable ... if you want. They really are that good.
It ia, however, the shot of that lone bison on the cover that sold me - another example of what people think of as the most American of American images. Our "critter"; the American bison... front and center on This Land.
