First off I’d like to say just how happy I was with the customer service and prompt shipment of my gloves. It was fast! Unfortunately my first gloves had a little too much space in the finger tips for my liking. I made sure to use the guide provided by the manufacturer but every fingertip had some play in them. I returned them which I was slightly bummed about it because now I have an extra 10 dollars invested in them. A couple of days later a pair of mediums arrived. The package was secured well and there was a handwritten thank you note on the order. I’d give their customer service a solid 5/5.
My first impressions of the gloves. They are extremely nice, very soft to the touch but thick at the same time. I love the little Buffalo that was branded on the cuff as an extra touch. I was happy to find that the mediums fit much better than the large. The pinky and the thumbs still had a little under half an inch of space at the tip but with use this gap shrank up and they began to form fit. I typically use Mechanix or Hexarmor gloves in size medium and they are almost perfect for my fingers. Gloves are like shoes, they try to make them as universal as possible but everyone has slightly different hands. You need to understand this going into it. There are a couple of tips and tricks you can do to help them shrink and form fit if it bothers you.
For over two weeks I used them performing various tasks around the house and at work. I used them for: tilling, shoveling, planting vegetables, pulling rocks out of the ground, cutting firewood, cutting down trees, pressure washing, splitting wood, stacking wood, stacking bricks, leveling off dirt and gravel etc. I was pleased to find that they were starting to form fit to my hand and fingers, still a little bit of play but like I said it’s to be expected sometimes. I was using a concrete block to compact dirt and level it off. While doing this I had finally worn a hole in the finger tip of my right middle finger. It’s about the size of a pea. I could probably sew it up or patch it but I haven’t tried yet. They are very tough but anything will wear with enough use. I was handling some pretty sharp pieces of wood and rock. I think the friction between the concrete block and leather finally wore them out on the tip. I didn’t baby my gloves but I didn’t abuse them either. Almost all of my gloves wear through at the pointer or middle right finger.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again but I’d have to wait for them to be on sale to justify it. Midwest glove outfitters should have a more detailed sizing guide to assist people with choosing the correct glove. I will probably pick up some glove liners or socks closer to winter time. Thanks again!
These are GREAT!!! Although the weather is hot outside, I've used them to stack hundreds of bales of hay, cut back brush, restack lumber-lots of chores around the farm. They have held up extremely well. And, fit my hand like, well, a glove. For me, the finger size is perfect. Love supporting and Small Business AND they are Made in the USA!!!
I purchased 2 pair of these gloves one pair to go over my bison down gloves and one pair to put to the test as a work glove so far as a work glove they have started together quite well and I have not worn through them yet it usually only takes a week or so to burn trough a pair of work gloves it is winter though so I'm not as active as the summer but they have broke in grate and they have grate dexterity im going to buy a couple more pair for sure if they don't sell out of them
They great I use them for cutting and gathering fire wood and when the outside gets a little wet you can work touch screen they provide good Dexterity for tying knots refilling fuel just a all around excellent work glove😎
Gloves are great, just what I was looking for. I have only used them for a couple tasks. Splitting some oak for the wood fire pizza oven and unloading a truck full of barn wood. No slivers. And the gloves still looked brand new. I did dip them in the lake before these chores which really started them to take on the shape of my beat up hands. Thanks for making such quality work gloves.
You Bison Leather gloves are the best, most long lasting gloves i have ever owned. Normal leather gloves i have owned get holes or punctures in them relatively quickly. Your gloves are still holding up very well. I think they are the best work gloves ever made.
I can’t believe how true to fit. These gloves are, and how well they are constructed. The stitching is very well done. I can’t believe how nice these gloves are.
Very nice
.
These are excellent gloves and fit my XL hand perfectly. I recommend highly if you do any sort of outdoor work involving stinging or poking stuff.
Well made work glove. Thicker than cow hide and quickly becoming my favorites.
All buffalo wool products are the best i've ever had. I wear only bufflo wool co. products!
I have a pair of these lined for winter. These I got for working in warmer weather. Just as great look, fit, feel, and utility.
These gloves appear to be well made. I was hesitant to use them because they look so good. Functional and fit well. Cost a little extra, but I don’t mind paying extra for quality USA made items.
Thick, soft and durable
Love these gloves
This is my second pair of Bison leather gloves, with the velux lining. I thought I'd better get another pair before they get discontinued by the manufacturer. My first pair lasted two winters so far and are in excellent condition. They spent a lot of time on the handles of both snow shovels and snow blowers... The warmest and toughet glove out there !
Absolutely amazing gloves…I’ve been a Jersey City Fireman for 9 years and these are one of the best gloves I’ve ever used…I’ve only had these gloves for 2 months but you can tell the quality is great…they’re both comfortable and durable…customer service was also great…thanks again for exchanging sizes
Absolutely in love with these gloves. Years ago I had a pair of chore gloves from Tecovas and I loved them but they stopped making them, couldn't find another pair like them until now. The craftsmanship is excellent and the leather is genuine and of superb quality. I will be putting these through the wringer but I have no doubt they'll perform day in and day out. So glad to have found my new favorite glove, I'll be buying them again when these eventually wear out, if they ever do. I refuse to buy from anyone else now, they've made a customer for life out of me
Almost perfect fit.
Quality durable leather, good fit, and since these are uninsulated, you retain the dexterity for various outdoor tasks, including hunting. The gloves are well- constructed and should last a long time.
Really great pair of gloves! Best ever owned! I bought the extreme gear bison fiber gloves earlier in the year and when it's below zero outside, I put these bison leather gloves on as top layer and don't even feel the cold. Otherwise, they make great work gloves alone too.
I’ve been searching for the best 100% American made gloves… and I believe that these are them! The fit is perfect, the leather is thick and tough while still allowing great dexterity. I’ve worn them nearly every day for the last month and I can’t find anything to complain about! Give them a good initial wax treatment and they should be in good shape for whatever kind of work you do!
Hard time justifying the price, so glad I did though. Super nice & tough. Stacked wood a couple of days & seem to be holding up.
I bought these gloves for my son and he really likes the fit and quality of the leather. He needs good gloves in his line of work and I know they have to be good for him to brag on them.
I bought a pair of these for my son who is living in the Netherlands. Humid, cold, he walks or bicycles everywhere. He lives by the motto: “There is no bad weather, only bad clothing choices.”
We were talking about him coming home for Christmas this year, he reluctantly admitted that he had left one of his Buffalo Gloves on a train as he was exiting at his stop.
He was very happy to find a new pair of Buffalo Gloves in his Christmas stocking. “These are the only things that keep my hands warm.”
I love the gloves, usually I can't find work gloves large enough to fit right over several old finger injuries but these fit perfectly. Great quality and heavy duty. Thanks
