How The Buffalo Wool Co. is responding

Effective March 20th, 2020, and until further notice, as a precautionary measure, we will be limiting our outbound shipments to once per week on Fridays.

Beginning March 22nd, 2020, we temporarily paused our incoming product deliveries from our suppliers.

We are being cautions, there is a lot we don't know about Covid-19 and T and I both have older parents, grandchildren, and really don't want to get infected ourselves. We have instituted these policies around The Buffalo Wool Co. and RATH Ranch.

Isolation

For those of you who don't know, we work from our home.  In November we began the process of moving an hour west of the Metroplex out to Rath Ranch. After finishing our Winter 2020 Tour, T and I have pretty much not left the ranch. We are preppers at heart, (we hunt, we fish, we garden, we love being self sufficient, and after spending 6 months on the road, the prospect of holing up in our little sanctuary on the prairie is quite appealing.  We really don't have much human contact whatsoever right now, and I am not complaining... we have a lot of work to do and the peace and quiet are luxurious.

We have made arrangements for Stacy to work at home, and there is plenty she can do from there.  Just don't need anyone coming or going, reduce as much contact as possible.

Outside "Stuff"

T has implemented the "Package Quarantine Protocol" basically, anything non-perishable that is delivered here is put in "Time Out" for 3 days.... we are using the big box truck for this. Whether it is the 4 pallets of socks that showed up Tues or a customer return via USPS, we are sticking stuff in there, spraying it with some Lysol and waiting three days before opening.

This will delay refunds and exchanges, just so you know. I hate to do this, but I think it a good idea.

We have just had a custom secure mailbox built to receive packages without direct contact.  We are using rotating tubs for quarantining the incoming packages, (have a set of three)

Returned Goods

Not that this has changed anything, but so you know, we never resell any gloves or socks that have been opened and returned. They are washed and donated to various organizations, shelters, and veterans groups.

Visitors

We have always welcomed friends/family/customers. Until this has passed, RATH Ranch is closed to the public.

Packaging

We use only biodegradable packaging made in the U.S.A,. We do this for several reasons, but the least of which is that we just think it is safer.

This along with the basic, wash our hands, sanitize all work surfaces, and don't lick strange things. We are doing our best to make sure that we don't pick up anything, or spread anything.

If you need anything from us, please don't hesitate to call us, write me or order online, we understand the severity of the situation and aren't going to do silly things, but we are trying to continue to stay open(ish) and do what is recommended. Remember, we are all in this together :)

Ron & Theresa,

The Buffalo Wool Co.
