Chicago Marathon ft. the B.O.S.S Sock
I just want to start off by saying, I am not writing this review/ blog because I am the owner's daughter... although that does make them look good. I am advocate for the B.O.S.S sock because they work and they are my sock of choice for long distance running.
October 8, 2023 more than 47,000 participants gathered in Chicago to run the 45th Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Out of those 47,000 I would say a very high percentage of them experienced blisters, cold and sweaty feet.
All throughout training the running experts emphasis your gear. From your shorts to your shoes and even nutrition- its matters. But what I noticed was my friends complaining about blisters forming, and early on in milage too.
Did the "experts" forget to educate us about proper socks? Well, good thing sock knowledge is in my DNA. When running 26.2 miles you want to feel comfortable and confident in your gear, socks included. The B.O.S.S sock gave me the confidence I needed knowing I wouldn't form blisters and they would keep my body temperature regulated.
Believe me when I say that I practiced each long run in my B.O.S.S socks and never saw a blister. My feet did not sweat through the socks even on 90+ degree days to keeping my feet warm when the air would dip down.
If you're like me and new to the running scene or an alumni, don't waste your time trying other wool or merino blend socks. These are it. But don't just take my word for it, take my friends.
