Seriously warm--Surprisingly soft, this is our big boy, our heaviest, most insulating, and wicking sock, most likely the warmest sock on the planet (excepting electric)
It is a calf-high sock, great for your taller boots, very thick, quite soft, and well built. Will keep your feet warm and dry all winter long. Ultra-soft bison fiber that has been properly processed, there is no prickly itch from these socks. Thicker and more cushioning than our Pro-gear socks.
This sock has a terry loop padded foot bed, and terry loop gentle ribbed construction all the way up the calf with just enough spandex to hold it above your 12" boot top...but not enough to cut down circulation. Nylon over-plaited in the toe and way up past the heel for long smooth wear.
- Machine wash warm. Then tumble dry. No need to bleach, iron or dry clean.
- Made in the USA
- 40% American bison down, 40% superfine super-wash treated American merino wool, 18% nylon & 2% spandex
We gave a pair of our Trekker boot socks to survival expert Leon Pantenburg, and here is his review.
Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.
Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.
Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.
Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material.

My husband loves these socks. His feet are always cold so these make working out in the cold so much better.
Was looking for a good heavy warm sock and think I found it with these Advantage Trekker Bison/Merino Boot Socks. Haven’t been able to really test them yet outside of wearing them with no shoes and standing on frozen snow to throw the ball for my lab Ruger. Although was only out there for a few minutes, was very comfortable and looking forward to hunting with them next season. Will buy another pair soon
These socks are nice and warm !!
I bought these sock for my girlfriend and I for Christmas as I’m a huge fan of bison and was curious on how warm these would be. I can not describe how warm and comfy these socks are! In -40 Celsius out shovelling, ice fishing and sledding we combine these with the 8mm insole and the cold can not get through them. They dry quick and one multi day hunts they are a dream come true! In -25 I will wear these in a pair of light hikers to snow-blow, walk and split wood and even if I’m out for nearly an hour my toes will be toasty warm. I can honestly say these out perform any merino sock from icebreaker or smart wool! Will be buying a pair for every one in the family next Christmas!
I am new to the BWCo products but have been completely won over by the quality and warmth of their products. The Advantage boot socks are no exception. In just a little more than three months, I now have five pairs of their socks (Pro-Gear, Advantage, Trekker), the flip top gloves, and the balaclava (not to mention the Trask sneakers and belt). Definitely my go to gear for winter cold. Definitely a five star is well deserved.
The perfect sock for slippin into a pair of rubber muck boots, waders, or good waterproof hunting boots. You will be hard pressed to find a better pair of socks for your needs.
I recommend the nice and warm Trekker socks.
