Love is...Pi PDF knitting pattern
Save $ -8.00
A Pi shawl is one of the easiest of the circular shawl shapes to knit. The increases are at specific points which make it easy to track the pattern as there are no increases to interrupt the flow.
A split Pi shawl is suddenly a cape, a swirl, movement that hugs your shoulders. Love is… Pi is a split Pi with shaping added to the front opening. This shawl can be wrapped around the neck or pinned to be double breasted; the lace-edged contrast color inserts add interest to the movement and punctuation to the lace patterning itself. The double edging just keeps the movement going.
To make the shawl in the two colors you will need 800 yds of one color and 400 yds of the contrast color.
The inspiration for the garment came from the Cavaliers’ of King Charles Era, many of whom wore cloaks trimmed with lace embellished with colorful inserts.
This shawl was originally designed for the Buffalo Wool Co MKAL - Love is….. This KAL started Aug 1, 2015

A classic slouchy hat shape with a hem instead of the standard rib start – this hat is loosely based on the Voyageur hats of history.
This modern take on the classic shape is further updated with geometric patterns of squares and stripes in a gridline format. The slouchy shaping is then gathered up and embellished with a leather strap and wonderful detail buttons. The hem of the cap can have a message or name knitted in or be left plain - charts are available to knit in “Buffalo Wool Co” or there are blank charts so that you can create and knit in your own message!

Porkie - PDF knitting pattern
Save $ -6.00
A Pork Pie is a small, shaped, brimmed hat. with a soft rolled brim with a slightly more rigid crown shaping to give it a more defined shape. A fun knit to create a soft, squishy, brimmed hat! Decorated with a traditional fair-isle hat band, this is a classic look for a winter topper!
The yardage for the hat includes the colors for the fair - isle patterning; the breakdown is approx. 180 to 250 yds main, and approx. 20 to 25 yds each of the two secondary colors.
A sheer and flowing long triangular shoulder wrap knit in geometric lace motifs. This is a good project to make in a special exotic fiber you've always wanted, as it requires only a small amount of laceweight yarn.
Start at the point of the triangle and increase to the widest point, creating a pretty pointed edge along the sides of the triangle. To add a bit of a curve to the basic triangle shape, the initial lace motif transitions into a similar one with a slightly different scale partway through the length of the fichu. A pretty coordinating edging is worked sideways to bind off and complete your project.

The dramatic, iconic PHOENIX has been the symbol of strength and majesty since the dawn of time; the native American Indians, Germany, the Roman Empire and Egypt just to mention a few. Fear not the lace or the beading. This amazing garment is knitted using only two stitches, knit and purl. Everyone has made yarn overs whether intentionally or not. Choose a lace weight or a very light fingering yarn. Go forward, knit, design and wear this is a statement piece remembering the strength, protection and power of those who wore the symbol of the PHOENIX.
I blocked mine pretty aggressively, so the final measurements on mine are: 36” deep (neckline to bottom) and 60” wide (closer to the top edge). Not including the fringe.

Prairie Leaf Vest - PDF knitting pattern
Save $ -6.00
Knitted in one piece, this vest is an excellent quick knit that results in a truly head turning completed project. The i-Cord border and bind off creates a streamlined edge that compliments the lace perfectly. With no bust darts or shaping and a simple lace chart repeat this pattern is an excellent project for knitters of most experience levels.
The pattern is written for the size bust you are fitting, the overlap in the front is calculated in and does not need to be taken into account when sizing, meaning, chose the actual bust size of the person you are knitting for. If the measurement falls in between a size listed, round up to the next largest size. This project is knitted in one piece starting with the bottom edge, you knit the front panel, then the lace back, then the other front panel on each row. Knitted up to the arm, the stitches for the back and each front panel are knitted separately while the others are on stitch holders, all panels are then brought back together at the shoulders.
Small fits 18 – 20 inches, Medium/Large fits 20 to 22 inches and X-Large fits 22 to 24 inches.
Rhiannon Wrap PDF knitting pattern
Save $ -12.00
This shawl was a long time in the making. It started from a competition. The competition produced a shawl that was impossible to re-create; that was never intended to be re-created. So I created another shawl; one that others could knit. Hence the birth of Rhiannon’s Wrap.
This shawl has two surfaces; the knit itself, intricate lace and shaping. The other surface is the many beads that sit on top of the shawl; they form their own pattern and add a second dimension of light and life to the shawl. The many beads glimmer and glitter with each motion, they accentuate and create shape as the shawl is worn. This shawl is a piece of jewelery.
Each point is accented with a hand-knit, beaded tassel – another source of light and movement.
The wrap starts at the center back; the “arms” are knit out from two sides of the square, and tapered down to the front points. The bulk of the beads for this shawl are placed with a 0.75mm crochet hook. The beaded loops at the center of the back motif are pre-strung, as are the beads for the tassels.
Note – this yarn must be strong with a high silk content in order to carry the weight of the beads; the sample was knit with Buffalo Wool Co. Sexy, a 50% bison and 50% silk blend in the Rhiannon colourway.
Note – make sure that the beads are good quality and as light as possible, the 7000 Delicas only weighed 250 grams. Sample used 24K dipped Delicas.
Requires 7000 size 8/0 beads - Delicas or other “light”, high quality bead are recommended

Northern Light Shawl PDF Pattern
Save $ -7.00
Light and color dancing across the night-time skies of the Great White North are the images that come to mind when we hear of the “Northern Lights”! As I was knitting away I saw in mind the lights in the angles of the lace patterns and the colors in the bands. This shawl will have color and lace dancing across your shoulders when worn.
This shawl is knit in panels. As each row is knit the colours are twisted together as if working intarsia. The lace patterns in each panel have different row repeats. After the first repeat of each pattern the pattern rows will no longer align. They will come together and move apart. They will all finish after the 14th repeat of the center diamond pattern panel.
This pattern was designed to use up odd balls and significant leftover balls of yarn from other projects. As knit, the edges, colour A, require 400yds of one colour, divided into 2, 200 yd balls: the narrow panels, colour B, require 200 yds of one colour, divided into 2, 100 yd ball: and the center panel, colour C, requires 200 yds.
Northern Lights could be knit with 800 yds of a single color or 400 yds of two colors; 200 yds for each edge and 400 yds for the 3 panels between. Each Panel could be a different color; it would be stunning knit from a gradient color pack!

Ode to.... hat - PDF Knitting pattern

This fair-isle pattern hat is an easy repetitive knit. The pattern is an easy four stitch repeat and the colors are never carried for more than three stitches. It is knit in the round so there is no seaming. The crown of the hat is reminiscent of a many petaled flower. The effect is created with centered double decreases.
Knit it in four shades of your favorite sport weight yarn - great for using up left over bits of yarn - or purchase 4 colors a make 2 hats, reversing the main and contrast for each hat!
