Why American Field Socks Are So Awesome
Our American Field Boot Socks are our premier bison socks. This calf high sock is great for almost any footwear from taller boots like hiking chukkas to tennis shoes. Created from ultra-soft bison fiber, these socks will keep your feet warm and dry all year long.
The American Field Boot Socks are warmer and more cushioning than our Pro-gear socks and thinner and lighter than our Advantage Trekker Socks. Designed to be the ultimate sock for regulating temperature, moisture wicking, the AFs are also incredibly supportive, light to wear, but just as tough as our Bison/Merino blends.
All About The Bison Down
The American Fields start with ultra-soft bison fiber. We monitor the fiber every step of the way from scouring and dehairing the fiber, to working directly with the spinning mill to determine the perfect amount of twist and loft in the yarn.
Once we have the perfect Bison yarn, we pair it with traditional fibers to ensure flexibility in all the right places and ultra comfort for all day wear.

Machine wash warm. Then tumble dry. No need to bleach, iron or dry clean.

How to Care for your favorite bison fiber gearMaterial Composition
Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.
The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

My sweaty-foot son wears these socks for days out camping, and shockingly they never stink and are never wet and gross! I couldn’t believe we paid $30+ for a pair of socks - but they’re totally worth it!!

We gave these to our 8 yo grandson for Christmas. He Loves his Red Dogs! Toasty toes all day in the duck blind. Best part (for an 8 yo boy!) …he wore them 5 days straight and no stinky feet! 😂😂😂 gotta love boys! ❤️

The older I get the less time I enjoy the long winter months in New England, but the kids still do. These American field socks for kids will keep them a lot warmer when there outside playing in the snow. Which means I will have more time to sit and enjoy the fire, not to mention the quiet. ;) Happy Fathers Day!!

6 kids (3-13) on the snow. Absolutely no whining due to cold feet! That’s amazing! The littles loved their red dog socks. Their feet stayed warm and dry. The bigger kids needed adult socks and the Buffalo Wool Socks were great for them. All 12 of our group wore our nice comfy Buffalo wool socks and believe they are well worth the price. (We even hike in them in the heat. Keeps our feet cool and dry!)
