It doesn't matter if you are bowhunting in Iowa or fishing in Alaska,  if you figured the cost for every minute you get to spend out in the field,  anything that betters your chances of staying warm and dry is worth it.

Weighing in at just about 2 oz per pair, our “Herdwear” gloves, are the lightweight, surprisingly soft, and seriously strong answer to unprepared wilderness newbies.  Clocking in at 6x warmer than wool, these are pro-quality and "buff-tough".  The best part, get them wet, they just wick the moisture away from your skin, and keep you warm and comfortable, unlike most man-made fibers, maintain their insulating properties when wet.

Tough enough to survive an ice age.

Combined with the insulating, downy undercoat of the American Bison, until you put these on, it's hard to believe their ultra-soft comfort and lightweight warmth. These fingerless gloves are so lightweight that they are only 1.2 oz per glove. These gloves are 90% Bison, and 10% Nylon making them durable, absorb moisture without feeling damp, and retain body heat well. Machine washable. Like all of our bison products, 100% guaranteed: either you love them, or we buy them back.

Glove Sizing

To find your glove size, measure (in inches) around your hand with a tape measure, at the place indicated by the red line (just below your knuckles) to the widest part of your palm on your pinky finger side. It is recommended that you should use your dominant hand. Size in inches is for both male and female.

Material Composition

Here at The Buffalo Wool Co., our yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

Outstanding product

I was introduced to the gloves by a Wyoming Fly fishing guide. He uses them daily in cold, wet conditions and swore by them. I just returned from a Steelhead trip on the cold, wet shoes of Lake Erie and they performed great. Amazing how a natural fiber maintains it’s warmth even when wet.

Fishing perfect

These extreme fingerless gloves stand up to the cold. They make winter steelhead fishing enjoyable.

Oh, I like these. The half fingers are longer than the type I usually have. The wool is soft and comfortable on the skin. These, are what fingerless gloves should be!

Love these gloves!

These gloves are not only warm because of the material, but the weave is like wearing super nice ski socks on your hands. My absolute favorite part is the length of the fingers which cover everything but the last digit of your fingers. I am a smaller female and went according to the size chart that put me at a size large. Seemed weird, but was the correct choice, I’m sure. And I love that hobo/boho style plus being able to use my phone readily without any warmth loss. If my fingertips get cold, I just fold my hands together and they warm right up. I’ve only done probably about 6 to 8 hours in them so far so I can’t really speak of durability, but they seem very well made so I am hoping for years of use. I could see them getting super fuzzy with certain activities so I don’t know if you just accept that as part of the deal or if you use a sweater shaver on them maybe? I will update my review if they prove to get ratty but I always expect some fuzz with raw fibers.

Warm, but very fuzzy.

I bought these to use for fishing in the winter. The gloves are warm, but very fuzzy with loose yarns. There are many loose fibers that I confuse with monofilament fishing line while tying on flies. Also, fly hooks tend to get caught very easily in the loose yarn. I would like them better as fishing gloves if the yarns were tighter.

Fingerless Gloves, the best!

Used them for a Deer Hunt in Nebraska and Pheasant in South Dakota, both in December. Kept my hands toasty warm and had all the needed dexterity for handling my rifle and my shotgun. Thanks for a great product.
