Carl F. Luckey is truly on of the experts in both the collection and valuation of old fishing lures and stuff.  He is also an expert in Hummel Figurines, silver and silverplate, duck and bird decoys, Norman Rockwell art and collectables.

There are 7 volumes of his Lure and Tackle books; I have located 6 so far.  Most at reasonable prices ... but some folks have a very inflated idea of what a book might be worth.  I try hard not to be one of those.  Books are tools; tools of information and knowledge (at least most books).  Anyway, these are a true wealth of knowledge and information on fishing lures.  Well worth it if you want to know.

He may have passed, thought the only reference I can find is a Google ad for one of the Thriftbook locations:

Carl Luckey passed away recently, but his many fine books on collectibles will ensure he will not be forgotten.
