Danz was the first Executive Director of the American Bison Association. The ABA and the National Buffalo Association merged in 1997 to become the current American Bison Association. The American Bison Association (formed in 1975) and the National Buffalo Association (chartered in 1966) merged in 1995 to become the National Bison Association.
Danz was with the National Park Service for many years before working for the ABA.
This is a well done, well documented book that looks more at an overview of bison than a bunch of dates and numbers. More of a human focus. Well done for the time. Excellent bibliography as well
