Let's have some fun, and share your best fish story!

Purpose:
Celebrate the art of storytelling and the thrill of fishing! Share your most memorable fishing tale—whether it’s a whopper about the one that got away, a heartwarming moment by the water, or a hilarious mishap. We’re looking for creativity, humor, and heart in your stories, accompanied by a photo that captures the moment.

Eligibility:

Open to all individuals 18 years or older, residing in the United States.

Employees of Buffalo Wool Co., their immediate family members, or anyone directly involved in the contest’s organization are not eligible.

No purchase necessary to enter or win.
Submission Period:

Entries accepted from June 15, 2025, to June 30th, 2025, at 11:59 PM CDT.

Late submissions will not be considered.
How to Enter:

Write Your Story:

Submit an original fishing story,
-
Stories can be true, exaggerated, or fictional, but they must be your own work.
-
Focus on creativity, emotion, or humor. Avoid profanity, offensive content, or anything that promotes illegal activity.

Stories must be in English and submitted as a text file (PDF, DOC, or TXT) and emailed to [email protected]

Include a Photo:
-
Submit one photo that complements your story (e.g., you with a fish, the fishing spot, or a related scene).
-
Photos must be your own, high-resolution (at least 1200x800 pixels), and in JPG or PNG format.

By submitting, you grant Buffalo Wool Co. non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use your photo and story in our newsletter, website, social media, and promotional materials, with credit to you (first name and last initial, unless otherwise requested).

Submission Method:

Submit via email to [email protected] with the subject line “Fish Story Contest Entry.”

Include your full name, email address, phone number, and statement confirming the story and photo are your original work and you agree to the usage permissions.

Limit one entry per person.

A panel of Buffalo Wool Co. staff and local fishing enthusiasts will judge entries. Decisions are final.
Prizes:

Five (5) Winners: Each receives a $100 Buffalo Wool Co. gift certificate,

Grand Prize (1 Winner):

A $250 Buffalo Wool Co. gift certificate.

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Winner Notification:

Winners will be announced on July 1, 2025, via the Buffalo Wool Co. website and newsletter.

Winners will be contacted by email or phone within 5 business days of selection. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, an alternate may be chosen.

Winners’ stories and photos will be featured in the Buffalo Wool Co. newsletter and may appear on our website and social media, with credit.
Photo and Story Usage Permissions:

By entering, you grant Buffalo Wool Co. perpetual, non-exclusive rights to publish, reproduce, and distribute your story and photo in our newsletter, website, social media, and other promotional materials, with attribution.

You retain ownership of your work but agree to its use for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

If your photo includes other people, you must have their permission for its use in the contest.
Additional Rules:

Buffalo Wool Co. reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate these rules, are plagiarized, or contain inappropriate content.

The contest is void where prohibited by law.

Buffalo Wool Co. is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries.
