Sexy Bison Down & Silk Lace Weight - Lady Goodnight - Special Edition

Mary Ann Goodnight aka Lady Goodnight, and her husband Colonel Charles Goodnight, together became know for their famous Texas panhandle ranch that is credited for saving the Plains Bison.  It was Charles Goodnight who roped two buffalo calves and gave them to his wife as a gift.  Her interests then expanded to protecting baby buffalo left to die after commercial hunters ravaged the Plains. Through rescuing and raising orphaned buffaloes, Mrs. Goodnight helped establish the Goodnight buffalo herd, which became well known throughout the world. The buffalo heard grew to about one hundred head with several animals being sold to private parks and zoological gardens.  Today, once again, the remaining heard continues to roam the Texas prairie lands in the Texas Cap Rock Canyon park on the Goodnight property in trusted care of Buffalo Gold co-founder Cecil Miskin

Lady Goodnight captures the colors of the Cap Rock canyon as the sun sets showing a rich blend of burgundy, plum and transitioning into a silvery slate. Sleek, shiny, soft, and yes, very very Sexy, this blend of 50% bison down and 50% bombyx silk, is 400+ yards of laceweight goodness, per 50g skein

Ready to become your next heirloom piece.  Will substitute perfectly into any pattern that uses "Lux" or "Heaven"
