Socks should fit as well as any of your other garments. The heel should sit on your heel and not under it as in a sock too small, nor half way up your Achilles as in a sock that’s too large. Socks should be flush against your foot with no extra material sagging. The toe seam should lay flat across the top of the toes.
Sock Heel at Your Heel
The sock heel should sit on your heel, not under it or above it.
Flat Toe Seam
The toe seam should lie flat along the top of your toes, not above or below.
Taut Across the Foot
Socks should be taut across your foot with no sagging material.

These socks are incredibly easy to care for and due to their antimicrobial properties, feel free to wear them a few times before washing. But when they do need to be cleaned, simply machine wash warm, then toss them in the dryer. They get quite soft after a couple of washings.

Whatever was 2nd about them was not immediately obvious. The socks for well, with no structural/weave issues, and were as warm and comfortable as all of Buffalo Wool Co.’s products.
Don't think twice about ordering "seconds" from the Buffalo Wool Company. These are great socks at a great price.
I ordered the Seconds-Casual Crew Bison/Merino blend socks. Honestly I didn't see any issues with the socks. They are super soft and have a nice stretch to them so they stay fitted on the foot throughout the day. The crew length is perfect for a shoe or work boot. I would not hesitate to order "Seconds" again.
Honestly I couldn’t see anything wrong with them
And they feel great very comfortable
When I recieved these socks, I could not find anything that indicated they were in any way defective.
They fit fine and feel great.
Love them. Could not tell why they are seconds.
From about October to April, my normal footwear is my own hand knit socks, so I am well accustomed to wool on my feet. These socks feel exceedingly durable. Not as soft as pure merino would be, but the bison down adds a rustic and hearty character to the socks. I wore them to an outdoor picnic and they did a fine job at keeping my toes warm and cozy. I can’t find the flaw that sent them to the seconds bin, and I am happy to have great socks at an excellent price. Thanks!
These socks are still just as comfortable and durable as the regular casual crew bison socks! The Buffalo Wool Co continue to delivery the very best quality!
