This project is a great introduction to fair isle knitting, easy design knitted in the round. Project is knitted from the bottom up, with the pattern instructions written and charted. When the knitted part of the project is completed all you have to do is insert the Erin Lane bag using a blanket stitch to attach the two bags.

Guauge: 26 sts x 32 rows = 4" (10cm) in stockinette

Finished measurement:
bottom: 7"x7" square
Upper bag portion: 28" circumference x 14 1/2" tall

A collaboration design by Christine Marie Chen and J M Ellis for 2015 The Buffalo Wool Company - all rights reserved.

Buffalo Bag pattern is a waste of money

The author gives no guidance regarding the intarsia buffalos. The brief 'directions' for knitting that area intact do not make any sense. I bought this pattern specifically for the buffalos. I do not recommend purchasing this pattern, nor will I take a chance on any other patterns from this company.

There are row by row directions, and a chart (on page 5, the brief directions are on page 4) If you are having trouble with it, I can put you in touch with the designer directly, and I am sure she can walk you through it, or if you can give me your order number, I can refund it.
