How to Find Your Hat Size

  1. First, get yourself a tape measure made from a flexible material like cloth, fabric, or bendable plastic.
  2. Wrap the tape around your head, making sure you measure above your ears at the area where you prefer to wear your hat.

Although it is a matter of personal choice, a good spot to measure is the widest part of your head, as that’s where a hat often fits the best. When you get a measurement, consult the charts above to figure out your size.

Sizing Tips:

  • Measure several times to ensure you’re getting an accurate measurement.
  • Don’t pull the tape too tight; you always want to err on the side of having a little too much room.
  • If you fall between two sizes, we strongly recommend that you choose the larger in the interest of comfort.
  • Head sizes and shapes differ from region to region. The most common male size is 7-3/8 and the average hat size for females is 7-1/4

Awesome and warm!!

I love the bison beanie! It’s warm, fits comfortably and no itchy fibers! Great for in snow, still keeps my head warm. Best of all, it’s bison!!

Toasty.

Unlike wool, this thing stays warm no matter how cold and wet it gets outside. Looks like any other beanie. Works way better.

Great Cap

Great fit, lightweight, and warm. Wasn’t sure if it would roll up the bottom after looking at pictures online. But it was pleasantly surprised able to roll up and make double layer to keep ears warm.

Great buffalo wool product!!

I recently received the Bison Beanie with gradient stripes that I purchased for a Christmas gift. I may have to purchase a second one because I think I am going to have to keep this one for myself! It is nice and long and can be pulled down well over my ears without feeling tight or constrictive in any way. It is so SOFT and very warm and I may love it too much to gift it away. Combined with great customer service and speedy delivery you have a slam dunk here Buffalo Wool Co.!!

Best Bison Hat!

Best bison hat ever! Previous bison beanie bought from a large Seattle-based manufacturer was more expensive and did not cover my ears. The 10-inch length of this hat provides plenty of material for my big head. Buffalo Wool Co. does not skimp on the bison material.
