We recently learned about a small company called Heather's Choice from Anchorage Alaska making some pretty interesting high quality dehydrated meals. Well, I ordered some for ourselves, we tried them, and immediately decided that we need to offer them to our friends and customers.
Starting with the two that excited us most. Grass Fed Bison Chili & Smoked Sockeye Salmon Chowder.
Some things we thought you should know. (our opinions)
If you like heat, you are going to have to add it.. the chili is good, excellent texture, very meaty, but definitely lacking in the heat dept. (I believe very strongly that chili should have beans and heat)
These are dehydrated, not freeze dried, and as such take a bit longer to reconstitute, the salmon in the chowder is rich and very flavorful, but stayed kind of chewy, I really enjoyed the texture, T wasn't a big fan.
one pouch is one meal, they are 4oz of dehydrated product, and after adding 10oz of water, each comes in just under a pound, and was more than enough to fill me up after a long day.
JUST ADD WATER! Gluten Free, Non-GMO
Bison Chili
This chili is sure to become your new favorite backpacking meal! It's loaded with protein, it's hearty, and it's everything you could want from a big bowl of chili. We gave this recipe an update to include pinto beans, kidney beans, bell peppers and jalapeños. Enjoy it at the office when you forgot to pack a lunch, or toss it in your pack to enjoy around the campfire at night.

Sockeye Salmon Chowder
There’s a reason the Smoked Sockeye Salmon Chowder is our favorite backpacking meal! Our salmon is wild-caught in the Cook Inlet of Alaska and hot smoked just down the road in Ninilchik. We mix a hefty portion of salmon with carrots, celery, and potatoes in our chowder, and lightly season it with dill, cayenne and white pepper. Coconut milk powder makes this meal creamy and calorie rich!
Smoked Wild Caught Alaskan Sockeye Salmon (Salmon. Sea Salt. Brown Sugar. Garlic). Dehydrated Potato Flakes. Coconut Milk (Coconut. Non-GMO Tapioca Maltodextrin). Dried Carrots. Dried Celery. Dill Weed. White Pepper. Cayenne Pepper.
Contains: Fish & Coconut
