They are here - the new exciting Redfield III bison leather roper boot.

This boot was built of deeply pebbled American tanned bison leather by Thomas Bates Company ... especially for us here at Herd Wear.   Done in Walnut-color.

These are fairly light weight, leather lined with the same great thermolite sole as the original Redfield.  The Redfield III - this new version - is a little taller (12") than the first Redfield which topped out at 11".   (For those who don't know, the second version turned out just too narrow and too tall for "ordinary" folk.  Phelps took them all back and we did this newest "re-design".   These work for dress, casual, working bison and everything you do, this will quickly become your "go to" footwear.   Medium - D width.

We were suppose to have men's 7, 7.4 and 14 ... but those sizes have been cancelled by the factory ... without warning.  So sorry; we were excited to have that broad a size range.  Have not given up ... but as of 10/5/23 ... no can do.

Full disclosure:   These are made of American tanned bison that is constructed in Honduras.   We do wish we could do it all here ... but we are very proud of getting this boot (and the Logan bison leather chukka boot) into production in 2021!
Fuller disclosure:  The 12 reviews on these are actually for the original "Redfield".   Once these get out into the field  I am comfortable that these will be 5 star as well; these are better boots.

Quality and comfort

Purchased for husband. The buffalo leather is beautiful and the boots are comfortable, stylish and sturdy. I Bought his usual size 10.5D. Fits mostly true to size. Perfect fit in front of the boot. He is getting a bit too much heels slippage, but hoping that reduces as the boots adapt to his foot.

Excellent boots

I have been looking for a comfortable pair of round toe boots because everything out there is square toe and I saw these and even though they were about a $ Hundo more than I was going to spend I splurged and boy and I glad I did !!! They are super comfy and I am just about to turn 60 years old and probably won't have to purchase another pair for the rest of my days !!! Buffalo hide.... just wow !!! Many high quality leathers are much more expensive....so spoil yourself or someone else and get the boots !!!

Boots

Boots were sent to my address and not my son. I had to spend $20 to resend them and he got them way after Christmas. I spent about $340 on products and I think i should have received a credit your the mistake. The products are great but bad news travels 4 times faster than good news.

John T, we are so sorry about any confusion on your holiday order. I pulled your order and see that you had your personal address in the ship to of the order and the billing as the same. We didn't catch your customer note on the side of the order and our automatic system will not utilize that special shipping address to complete the shipping label. We will email you directly to resolve and issue a store credit for you. Kindest regards Theresa

Damn fine boots

I've been a fan of bison leather goods for a long time. Including boots, shoes and belts.

I just received a pair of Redfield Bison Leather Wellington boots. They are beautiful, very comfortable and expertly made. No break in required!

If the Buffalo Wool Company gets any more in stock : Look at them, buy them, you'll love what you see and what you get.

Mine are classed as "red" but they are actually between a rust and maroon color.

They fit in nicely with the additional 20 pairs I have of which 2 are bison leather. Both of those at least 20 years old and look like the day I bought them. They are a light tan in color and not as good looking as the ones I just bought.

My personal experience tells me you can't wear them out.

While you're at it take a look at the Bison Wool Gloves and knit caps this company sells. You'll love the gloves and cap as much as the boots.

Great, multi-use boots

I wear these to work in a professional office setting, out in the snow, and as ordinary day-to-day footwear. They look great. They feel great. I like them more and more each day I wear them.
The only potential issue I have is that they seem to run a little large. I am generally a 10.5 or 11, depending on the socks. These are 10.5 and I need thick socks to take up the space.
Bought a pair of them as well. The two are a perfect pair.
